Princes of Florence was played for the first time at RussCon!? I'd played it twice before (at Marty's and at Great Hall). I like it. It's one of those games that unfortunately takes a while to explain to newbies since there are lots of interacting subsystems. And it's unforgiving of strategy mistakes. But it's cool. I want to play lots more of it. It kind of reminds me of when I first learned Web of Power -- I sucked at it, but kept wanting to play more. (I barely came in 3rd: Matt and Sea Biscuit were just one PP behind me, tied for 4th, and the tiebreaker is money.)
Traumfabrik is of course a hot new Knizia title about the movie industry which proved popular.

Meta Party Game ResultsBrady was the Meta Party Devil, but he was remiss in his duties and didn't email out a Meta Party Game. JP proposed a backup plan, which was to predict what time Brady would arrive. Ben was the winner (closest without going over)! (Brady showed up at 8:10, and Ben predicted 7:59.) So Ben will email out next week's Meta Party Game. |

Pork 4 Kids is some pork industry propaganda page that seems to be for real. Truly strange seeing happy kids with a pig floating in space who excitedly says "Let's visit the farm!" when you mouse over him. I guess he is blissfully ignorant of what's in store for him at the farm. Learn all about raising cute friendly pigs. Learn how to cook and serve pork meat. No mention of the connection between the two! Woohoo!
