Clandestine is coming this Friday October 5! The usual drill: 2 shows at Cactus Cafe, 7:30 and 10pm. I'll be eating dinner beforehand at Veggie Heaven at 6pm and then walking over to get in line for the first show. Let me know if you'd like to join me in this tradition.

Saturday I went to a Luis Jiminez show at Mexic-Arte Museum on Congress ($3 admission) which had lots of cool lithographs and paintings. Then I hit Pecan Street Festival, and the peace rally at the capitol, and then the Rude Mechanicals play Big Love. A long day...

Lost and Found: a yellow cardboard game piece with a red number 7. I don't recognize it, so I'll guess it's from Show Manager or World Cup Soccer. Also the remnants (just a few sheets left) of a Balderdash pad.

I had a trilogy of tile placement games tonight, starting with the ever-popular Carcassonne (where I almost lapped poor Clay), then Entdecker (one of the first German games I ever bought, a Klaus Teuber classic that was overshadowed by the Settlers phenomenon), and concluding with Stephensons Rocket (where it became apparent that if one person (JP, I'm talkin' to you!) messes with another player's railroad early on, that just hurts both of us with respect to the other 2 players (Bob and RussD) who are each growing other railroads freely.

Fina was the Meta Devil. Here is the Meta Party Game she designed:

Bare Naked Ladies Meta-game
A very simple game focused on one of my favourite bands... basically, everyone lists any BNL song titles as they can remember & see who knows the most!
Extra credit question:
What is Fina's favourite BNL song? (come on, make a guess)

To avoid people researching beforehand, we did not mail this game out in advance. As it turns out Fina may be the only Bare Naked Ladies fanatic at RussCon, because only 1 person was able to name even 1 song: good job, Dan! Dan is again the Meta Devil, and will design next week's Meta Game (which perhaps Fina will win...?)

Jeff & Jonobie are clearly the First Couple of Tichu, but by only playing 1 game they are ineligible for Devilhood. PJ is the Devil! Jeffles is Vice-Devil. Allen is the Generous Angel.
