NewsI had fun visiting Houston last weekend. The Star Wars museum exhibit was interesting, though a little disappointing. I enjoyed the printing history museum a lot. Also saw The Mexican which was a fun romp of a movie. |

6 Nimmt continues to be a popular game; there were 2 games going in parallel at the start of the evening, one with 9 players (which ended with the Wendys in first and second place)!
I had an unusually large come-from-behind in Carcassonne. When the game ended, I literally had zero points, but then picked up enough from farmers and uncompleted cities to come in second place; Steve beat me by just one point!
I am an idiot at Clue. This time I actually kept correct consistent records successfully, but Wendy still won. I later realized that I actually had all the necessary information to make a winning accusation but was brain farting and thought I didn't... Argh! I can plead distraction, though, as Dan & I were in an especially punchy mood and found ourselves in tears of laughter repeatedly just from saying "Ballroom" a certain way. Hey, we're easily amused.
After a regular recorded game of Bluff we tried an experimental variant of "pure skill Bluff", where your dice rolls are not random but instead consciously chosen. We started with 3 dice instead of 5 since we weren't sure if it would suck or not, but it turned out to be rather interesting, and we may try again with 5.
