Dia De Los Muertos was a wacky trick-taking card game (isn't it a pity those aren't more popular here lately?) that involved pets, kids, and adults going to heaven with food and wacky special effects and nifty art. It was somewhat chaotic but enjoyable.
Jeffles & I played a couple games of Caesar & Cleopatra, which he trounced me at. We agreed there was some luck to it, especially in the 2nd game where over and over we kept getting a useless (but no doubt enjoyable) orgy when the influence was in my favor and an election when the influence was in his favor. I want to play more to find out if I'm just stupid at the game as well or not. It was fun, albeit a smidgen long for a simple elegant 2-player German game. Plus it has all those hot ancient Egyptian babes.
Several people, especially William, have some emotional investment in Tichu's popularity: for those keeping score at home, it is now the 6th most played RussCon game!
There were also several unrecorded games of solitaire and go.
Meta Party GameI was the Meta Devil. Here is the Meta Game I emailed out: AntisocialWell, nobody actually played Cosmic Coasters, alas, but JimG and especially Brad made a point of playing several games of solitaire (a game which doesn't show up in Devil Points ratings, partly because I'm not sure how it should be handled and partly because it's silly), and Brad even played some go with Clayton. Brad's superior solitaire playing skills earn him the exalted throne of Meta Devilhood this week, and I heard rumors he has a Meta Game in mind that is appropriate for this long-awaited time of year (and no, I don't mean Christmas, Hanukkah, or Kwanzaa). |

The upcoming film A Beautiful Mind (starring Russell Crowe and loosely based on the life of mathematician John Nash) may have a scene with go! (From the main page, click on 5th annoying obscure link "Exercise Your Mind", then click on "Trivial Mind" to see this picture at the site, which needlessly requires Flash.)
