17 of us, including 2 new folks Curt and TimG. Not to be confused with Tim, who happened to be the Devil from last week.

We played another big sudden-death RoboRally. Doug managed to kill 3 people. 2 of them were in the same phase! That was one deadly pit... Jeffles, the early leader, managed to drive himself into a pit. (The old "Hey, I didn't see there was a wall there" routine... always good for a laugh.)

Thanks to RussCon virgin Curt for bringing the nifty auction game High Society and the out-of-print English game Hare & Tortoise. I thought they were both quite fun.

We seem to be getting more competent at Letzte Paradies; more folks finishing with more money than they started with!

Since there are probably a fair number of newer folks who don't know the ratings system, here's a brief summary:

Your "devil points" from a game are (# people you beat) - (# people who beat you). Thus total points awarded from a game sum to 0. Ties are handled neatly. Later these results are combined to figure out who won the most and who had the highest ranking overall. There's a difference between one person who wins a game and comes in last in another, and a different person who comes in 2nd in 2 games. The former has a higher win rating; the latter has a higher rank rating.

Evening's Soundtrack:

Dune, Original Motion Picture Score by Toto
Georg Friedrich Haendel, Water Music
Michael Nyman, Drowning by Numbers, A Film by Peter Greenaway
Oasis, (What's the Story) Morning Glory?
Roger Waters, Radio K.A.O.S.

If you can't figure out the common theme, you must be all wet. Plus you probably don't know enough to come in out of the rain we've been having lately.
