May 5 1999 RussCon Report
12 of us. Attendance wanes as the weather becomes gorgeous. We've also lost some casualties to Everquest.

James was Devil and selected Successors for the dining table.
I finally got to play Starbase Jeff. Cute little game. It may suffer from a problem of everything depending on the chaotic tactical maneuvering of who gets to end the game and get the pot.
Kevin made an impressive victory in Bluff, finishing with all 5 of his dice.
I believe Raj and Ra are BOTH outrageous bidding games.
I distinguished myself with a score of 0 in Guillotine (despite having collected quite a few nobles).
Marty fulfilled his dream of playing 4 player Acquire.
Jeffles has a definite knack for Settlers. Jay only wins it during a tournament.
Jeffles played an unrecorded game of solitaire Fight. He cleverly managed his coins optimally and was the last player eliminated -- what a god! He quixotically tried to last as long as possible, but was the first player eliminated -- what a loser!

Evening's McSoundtrack:
Pat MacDonald, Sleeps with his Guitar
Susan McDonald, tico tico
Loreena McKennitt, The Book of Secrets
Loreena McKennitt, The Visit
Sarah McLachlan, Fumbling Towards Ecstasy
The theme was as subtle as a Mack truck.

Kevin is the Devil! Jeffles and JP tie for Vice-Devil. I win the Dedicated Award. Clayton pulled off the rare and dangerous Reverse Brady Maneuver.
